 Hi, I’m Alonsa 🌿

 I’m a Chilean-American artist and oil painter inspired by the beauty, mystery, and aliveness of the natural world. My work explores fruit, botanicals, light, texture, and atmosphere, and through sharing it online I’ve grown a community of 82K+ followers on Instagram who connect with this way of seeing and painting nature. My work has been exhibited internationally and featured in publications including Forbes, Time Out NYC, VICE, and The National News UAE.  

With an MFA from the New York Academy of Art, years of professional artistic practice, and experience mentoring other artists through my own 4-week mentorship and accountability program, I’ve developed an approach to painting that balances technique with intuition, structure with feeling, and realism with personal expression. 

In this course, I’ll guide you through the process I use in my own work so you can learn to paint fruit and botanical subjects with more confidence, stronger color harmony, richer atmosphere, and a greater sense of life on the canvas.
