Hello, I'm Arthur!
For as long as I can remember, I've been drawing little worlds: cozy rooms, sleepy creatures and tiny scenes you could almost reach into. And so many of you have asked me how I make them.
This course is my answer.
I'll take you through my whole process, from the very first tiny idea to a finished colored-pencil illustration: finding inspiration, building a scene that tells a story, and the techniques behind that rich, velvety finish.
The goal isn't to draw like me. It's to discover what your own little world could look like.

Hi, I'm Arthur!
I'm Arthur Congnard, a freelance illustrator based in Bordeaux, France, specialising in children's illustration and comics. I draw colorful, playful little worlds almost entirely with colored pencils, often spending 30 to 50 hours on a single piece.
So much of my work grows from the things I loved as a kid. Discovering the illustrator Frédéric Pillot years later showed me how much those early images had shaped the way I draw.
I don't believe style is something you choose in advance. Mine came from experimenting, one new thing in every illustration, and that's the mindset I want to share with you.
