My painting process is a mixture of seeing, distorting, and reinterpreting. Although my foundation is rooted in classical realism, I have moved away from strictly traditional work toward a style that is both realistic and expressive.

I loved to draw as a child, and making a picture appear lifelike quickly became my goal. Through constant practice and dedication, my art began to breathe, and my fascination with value and perspective continued to grow. Eventually, I moved from Los Angeles, where I grew up, to San Francisco, where I studied drawing and printmaking at San Francisco State University. In 2008, I enrolled at the Academy of Art to study illustration, but soon found myself drawn to painting instead. I realized that I preferred fine art over commercial illustration, and I now work as a full-time oil painter.

Since then, I have continued to develop and refine my oil painting skills. My work has been exhibited nationally in galleries, group exhibitions, and juried shows. I have also completed numerous commissioned portraits, and my paintings have appeared in national and international publications.

Throughout my artistic journey, my goals have gone beyond simply creating a technically accurate representation. I strive to capture a deeper sense of the energy and feeling of my subjects. No matter what I am painting, that goal remains the same. I am driven to capture the world around me through my paints, brushes, and determination.
