Months before graduating college with my animation degree, I drew a cat. The next day, I drew another one, and just like that, my daily cat drawing ritual was born. I've always loved cats, and as the world went into quarantines and lockdowns, I was hoping to adopt one of my own.
As I worked toward my first 100 cat illustrations, I started building an online community of fellow cat lovers and artists under the name Catwheezie. With every new drawing, I developed a painterly style that captures the whimsical chaos and personality of our feline friends.
That first cat drawing in 2020 wasn't meant to be anything special, but it led to more than 500 cat illustrations, countless new friendships and opportunities, and best of all, the chance to adopt my own cat, Beanie.
