Hi, I’m Anthony!
I’ve only ever wanted to be one thing: an artist. When I was a kid, I immersed myself in comic strips like Calvin and Hobbes, Garfield, Peanuts, The Far Side, etc., and then grew into comic books like Batman, X-Men, Bone, and Y: The Last Man. No matter the medium, the one constant was, and always will be, good characters—characters that stand out because of a crisp silhouette, a perfect color scheme, or because their motivations match the shape of their body.
I’ve spent a lifetime studying characters and character design not only to create passion projects (or to make my kids laugh), but so I can teach it—saving others years and years of trial and error in the process.Â

Turn simple shapes into full characters with structure, proportion, and personality. You’ll explore what makes a design truly work—focusing on clarity, storytelling, and visual choices that make characters feel alive and meaningful.
Modules 5–6:Â
Stylization, Expression & Color
Push your characters further through exaggeration, dynamic poses, and expressive stylization. You’ll also use color in simple, practical ways to create contrast, support personality, and make your characters stand out instantly.
Modules 7–8:Â
Character Polish & Creation
Learn how to keep your characters consistent through model sheets, expression sheets, and drawing the head from different angles. Then apply everything in a guided design challenge, using references, brainstorming, and sketching to create a complete original character.Â
