Hi, I'm Elke!
I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. I once had to choose between art and physics, and somehow ended up doing both. Today, I work in video game development as a programmer, while keeping my creative side very much alive at home.
For nearly 10 years, I’ve been sketching and painting with watercolor, mixing cozy, whimsical moods with subtle anime influences that often feel like pages from a children’s book. Two years ago, I started sharing my work daily on Instagram, simple pencil sketches and small watercolor pieces, and that consistency helped me grow an engaged creative community.
I love teaching and sharing what I know, especially with beginner artists and creatives from different fields. Right now, I’m also working on my own picture book, slowly bringing this illustrated world together.

The course has 9 modules for X+ hours of learning and practicing. It also includes X+ full-length artwork tutorials! You can pause and replay the videos as much as you want. The course is suitable for everyone, teens, adults and children because there is no explicit content. It would be best to take the course in order, because it will start from the basics to lessons at a more advanced level.

Introduction & Art Supplies
In these first two modules, you'll get a warm introduction to the course and your instructor, followed by a deep dive into all the art supplies you'll need. We'll cover everything from paints and paper to other essential supplies to make sure you're fully prepared before you start painting.
Warm up & Basics
Time to pick up the brush! You'll start with a Warm Up covering the fundamentals like sketching, understanding Values, and basic anatomy. Then, you'll move into the basics of watercolor, mastering core techniques like wet on wet, dry on dry, hashing, and learning exactly how to mix watercolors to get the perfect shade every time.
Visual Library & Materials
Great art comes from great observation! These modules focus on building your visual library by studying real-world references and breaking down complex subjects like trees and shelves. After that, we'll focus on materials, teaching you how to render the look and texture of wood, metal, glass, and different fabrics—including those tricky fabric folds!
Character Creation to Finished Painting
Put all your skills to the test! First, you'll learn the step-by-step process for creating a simple character, from the body and head & hair to clothes and dynamic poses. Finally, in our last module, we'll guide you through using everything you've learned to create a finished painting, covering inspiration, sketching and layout, outlines, and highlights. We'll wrap up with your well-deserved Certificate!

In all my videos, I try to use as many visual elements as possible, such as pictures and references, so you can take some inspiration and you can practice. You can follow each step as I show it to you, and you can comment and compare with other students under each video or in the group so you can resolve any doubts you have and learn new tricks!
The course is designed to be as practical as possible, even teaching you the basics of color and how to use the tools. You can review the lessons as many times as you want, where you want, and when you want!
