Hey, I'm Douglas,
I'm a self-taught artist with a deep passion for mixing traditional and digital art and creating landscapes. My journey into art has been one of personal discovery, where I learned through exploration, practice, and a love for creating. Without formal training, I found ways to blend traditional art styles with digital tools to capture emotions and stories in bold brushstrokes and rich colors.
In my work, I focus on fantasy landscapes that bring joy and peace, drawing viewers into scenes that feel magical yet familiar. My style combines traditional painting techniques with the flexibility of digital tools, but it goes further: I also incorporate photographic and cinematic techniques to enhance the depth, composition, and atmosphere of each piece. By blending these approaches, I create a unique perspective that feels immersive and inviting.
As a teacher, I’m passionate about sharing what I’ve learned, especially with beginners who are just starting out. I believe that anyone can learn to create art, so I make my teaching clear, practical, and enjoyable! My lessons focus on easy-to-follow techniques, guiding you step-by-step through creating a painting from start to finish. Beyond basic digital painting techniques, I’ll also show you how to apply aspects of photography and cinematic composition to make your landscapes more dynamic and visually striking.

I recommend taking the course in order as the more advanced concepts are presented at the end, however, you are free to watch the parts which interest you the most first, or re-watch all the videos as many times as you want!
