Hi, I'm Dru Blair!
I’m Dru Blair, an artist and instructor with a lifelong passion for realism. For decades, I have been exploring how light, color, and precision can bring an image to life, whether in portraits, wildlife, or imaginative scenes. My work has taken me around the world, but my greatest focus is sharing what I’ve learned.
Through Blair School of Realism, I teach practical, accessible methods that help artists understand realism step by step. My goal is simple: to show that with the right guidance, anyone can master detail, accuracy, and the joy of creating lifelike art.
Working with an airbrush has allowed me to explore realism in a unique way - blending soft transitions, subtle tones, and precise details that are difficult to achieve with any other tool. It’s a craft that often looks intimidating from the outside, but with the right approach, it becomes an incredibly rewarding and accessible medium for beginners and experienced artists alike.
