COURSE OUTLINE
From first leaf to full bouquet
We'll start with the basics, then slowly layer in mixed media as you build toward full floral compositions:
Welcome
Set intentions, meet your instructor, and build the mindset for a joyful practice.
Supplies
Paper, paints, brushes, and mixed media - use what you already have and add to it.
Watercolor Foundations
Brush control, water control, mixing, layering, and simple leaves and petals.
Mixed Media Foundations
Pencils, crayons, ink, acrylic markers and understanding when to reach for them.
Build a Stem
Daisy, peony, forget-me-not, eucalyptus, fern. Full procces from sketch to finished botanical.
Build a Small Bouquet
Choose a hero flower, arrange 3–5 stems, add movement and details.
Build a Large Bouquet
Layer, overlap, and build depth with 5-9 stems and more refined mixed media.
Bonus Bouquet
Two brand-new flowers, a fresh color story, and one final painting we work through together.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Hi, I'm Kristine
I'm the artist behind fluffypigeon_art: a little corner of the internet full of loose watercolor florals, mixed media doodles, and quiet studio moments. I paint from a family of creators, and I've always found my way back to making things by hand.
In high school I lived in the music and theater rooms. I studied elementary education in college, and today I get to wear two of my favorite hats: teacher and artist. Watercolor found me during the pandemic. I'm entirely self-taught, and that path is exactly what shapes how I teach - one honest layer at a time.
My work lives at the meeting point of watercolor and mixed media, and my whole approach is about making art feel accessible. I want you to feel safe experimenting, to see the good and the awkward in your paintings, and to keep going anyway.
