Hi, I’m Raphael
I’m an Art Director and Concept Artist who has spent my career designing worlds for games and films, from Prince of Persia and Assassin’s Creed to major Hollywood productions. For me, environment design is about more than technique; it’s about creating spaces that tell stories, evoke emotion, and invite people to explore.
I’ve been fortunate to work with incredible teams at Ubisoft, EA, and Haven Studios, and to see how visual storytelling connects imagination with experience.
In this course, we’ll go step by step through the entire environment design process, from building your own reference library and toolkit to creating full concept art illustrations. I’m excited to share the methods and mindset that have shaped my journey, and to help you find your own creative voice as a world-builder.

This course is divided into 9 modules with over 5 hours of guided learning and practice. You’ll also have access to over 40+ full-length artwork tutorials that you can pause, replay, and follow at your own pace.
The lessons are structured to build gradually, starting with the essentials and moving step by step into more advanced techniques. For the best experience, I recommend following the course in order.
