TOGETHER WE WILL WORK ON

Hi, I am Jennifer.
Nice to meet you!

I'm a print maker, clay artist and scientific illustrator. I've hand drawn illustrations extensively for the education and exhibit departments of science and nature museums; my MSc in Biology and MFA in Art & Design make me uniquely fitted to combine the two disciplines.

For the last seven years I’ve focused on printmaking. I design, carve my own blocks and then print by hand in my home studio in San Francisco. I specialize in meticulously designed, beautiful tributes to the natural world. In the last two years I’ve added Clay to my repertoire and in particular I love the surface design technique of sgraffito.

I have a particular fondness for marine animals, geology and non-typically-charismatic mini-fauna. I draw inspiration from geometric patterns, science illustration, Japanese woodcut and Escher. I enjoy tedious detail, precision in technique, accurate portrayal of species. I occasionally foray into mythology.

With my course, I’ll guide you step by step to learn how to design, carve and print with rubber blocks. Sign up for the waiting list today and start your printing journey!
