Hi! I’m Madison,

 But most of you probably know me as Hope.Hokulani. I'm a self-taught artist who has been drawing for my entire life. (No, I'm not kidding. The second I learned to hold a pencil, it was over. Sorry to my mom and dad for not becoming a dentist.) That's almost 30 years of experience! 

Over time, I grew to love drawing stylized characters that stretch the limits of realism. Now, I specialize in fantasy illustrations, bringing characters to life with lots of movement, drama, and whimsy. In 2012, I started sharing my pieces online, and have since built a wonderful community full of other artists of all skill levels. And now, I'm breaking down my process in this step-by-step guide to share with you. From concept to color, this course will teach you everything you need to know to create your own characters—whimsy and all.
