Hello, I’m Kaitlyn!
I’m an artist and oil painter based in Atlanta, Georgia. Ever since I first picked up a brush, painting has been my way to explore both the world around me and the emotions within me.
I studied at Kennesaw State University, where I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Drawing and Painting. But beyond school, I’ve always believed art is about more than technique — it’s about expression, connection, and finding your own voice on the canvas.
Through KBladeArt, I’ve built a space to share that belief — helping others experience the freedom, depth, and joy that oil painting can bring to their lives.

The Human Figure
Bring people to life on the canvas. In this module, we’ll focus on figure drawing and painting — anatomy simplified for expression, gesture studies, and building the body with shapes. You’ll learn how to capture movement, personality, and emotion in the human form through both sketches and finished figure studies.
Module 4
Expressive Self Portraits: The KBlade Way
Self-portraits are more than mirrors — they’re stories of who we are. In this module, you’ll learn Kaitlyn’s step-by-step process: choosing or creating a reference, transferring the image, underpainting with raw umber, layering skin tones, and finishing touches that bring a portrait to life. Along the way, we’ll talk about self-image, expression, and the courage to see yourself on canvas.
Module 5
Paint Like You — Your Signature Style
This module is all about finding your voice as an artist. You’ll learn how to draw inspiration from your inner and outer world, remix references, and enjoy the process of discovery. Together, we’ll plan, paint, and reflect on a final project — a personal, emotional piece that represents your unique style and story.
Module 6
An Artist’s Symbol: The Octopus as a Metaphor
Explore symbolism and meaning in your art. Using the octopus as a starting point, we’ll look at how to create personal symbols, paint from memory, build your own canvas, and balance blending with expressive marks.
