I'm Trang, a native speaking Vietnamese teacher. I'm passionate abut learning languages and I fluently speak both Japanese and English. COURSE CONTENT
The course is designed for English speakers. Because English and Vietnamese are very different languages, I explain things in English for most of the course so that you can understand the main concepts more easily, and the transition to Vietnamese is smoother and easier to understand.
No previous knowledge of the language is required.
The beginner's course is designed for those who are starting from scratch, which is why it starts from the absolute basics. However, the course is also perfect for advanced beginners, as the difficulty of the lessons will gradually increase.
ALPHABET AND TONES
Introduction to the Vietnamese Alphabet and tones, personal pronouns as well as how to say "hello" and "thank you" to Vietnamese local people. Sometimes, it is pronunciation that also makes a difference in understanding a dialogue. Building a solid foundation in pronunciation will be essential to help you master this language!

GREETINGS & FIRST PHRASES
I will provide you with skills to deal with everyday situations: you will be able to ask your name, nationality as well as how to ask about the profession and how to use the ending words "đấy/Ä‘Ăł/váşy/tháşż". These expressions will allow you to enjoy your experience abroad to the fullest!

NUMBERS AND CLASSIFIERS
In addition to the basics, you will learn how to count in Vietnamese from 1-1000 and beyond, common terms for relatives as well as the most common classifiers and prepositions in Vietnamese. We will start from the very basics and build a strong foundation of the language, allowing you to understand and have basic conversations in Vietnamese!
