Hi, I'm Lena
an artist based on the southern Dalmatian coast near Trogir, though my story starts in Slovakia, where I was born in SpiÅ”skĆ” NovĆ” Ves and studied art in Nitra.
Drawing is the earliest thing I remember. As a kid, I dreamed of becoming a painter, but I spent ten years in marketing first. Since 2019, art has been my full focus, and I never looked back.
I work across mixed media: watercolor, gouache, acrylics, watercolor ink, dry pastel, because I love not staying in one lane. I paint what's around me, nature, everyday objects, quiet moments, and sometimes switch gears entirely for something precise and architectural.
What sets my work apart is how naturally it comes together. I capture things realistically without laboring over every detail, so it stays light rather than heavy. I like art that feels achievable, often working small so pieces feel inviting, not intimidating. Most of all, I want my work to carry feeling, and to encourage others to pick up a brush without fear of getting it wrong.
In this course I share my whole process, from the light on my desk to the last texture detail on a bullfinch's feathers. So join me and let's get creative.
