This class is designed to shorten the learning curve, and with my guidance through this course you will be printing beautiful, crisp images on fabric in no time.
We will explore the beautiful art of fabric block printing and I will guide you along the entire process. Together we will brainstorm, find inspiration, create ideas for new projects, then transform them into beautifully hand-printed textiles. In this course, you'll learn how to design patterns, carve your own printing blocks, choose the right tools and materials, and confidently print on fabric and garments with consistent results.

Hello! I’m Maude Forbid
I am a lifelong artist with education and practice in several mediums: drawing, painting, multimedia & collage, ceramics, and printmaking. Throughout my long and winding journey in the arts, I found printmaking to be the most wonderful, satisfying, and therapeutic artform. I love how printmaking presents so many opportunities for our personality and individual style to come through. My favorite part of block printing is that it encourages me to create in a slow, intentional way, and I savor all of the moments I find myself immersed in each stage of the process.
In my career as a working artist I have enjoyed sharing my printmaking knowledge and artwork with people across the globe. I specialize in fabric items because I love art that is affordable, useful, and brings a creative twist into each day.
Printing on fabric is special, but also presents some frustrating challenges without the right guidance! If you already have some printing experience or if you are just starting on your printmaking journey, I would love to share tips and tricks to help shorten the learning curve for you. By the end of this course you will be able to get perfect, beautiful, and reliable prints on fabric. I look forward to printing with you!
