Hi, my name is Yana Ivannikova,
I am a watercolor artist based in the Netherlands.
My painting style is loose, expressive and atmospheric, I focus on capturing the essence of seascapes, landscapes and flowers.
I often paint en plein air, where the wind and light bring spontaneity and special energy into my work. Later I carry this inspiration into my studio, where I transform those impressions into my artworks and tutorials.
Both in my own art and in my teaching I encourage freedom, showing that watercolor is not about total control but about letting go. I love sharing this approach with my students and helping them connect with watercolor as a joyful and really magical medium.
