a watercolor artist specializing in realistic portraits of people and animals. I'm fascinated by the way watercolor balances delicacy with intention. Its transparency can create incredible softness and light, yet every brushstroke asks us to observe, understand, and trust the process.
Before becoming an artist, I worked as a watchmaker, and that experience still shapes the way I approach watercolor today. I feel like I'm running a diagnosis with every painting:Ā asking what happened, why it happened, and how water behaved between the paper and the brush.
With every painting, I came to understand the medium on a deeper level.
I believe observation leads to understanding, and understanding gives us the freedom to create.
This is the approach I love sharing: helping watercolor lovers understand the medium more deeply, gain confidence with water control, and paint with greater intention and freedom.
