Hi, I'm Helenya!
Iām a professional light-reactive artist. I createĀ paintings, drawings, and digital designs that shift and transform under red, green, and blue lights or filters. This unique technique bridges the gap between movement and stillness, captivating audiences with its dynamic and versatile nature.
I grew up in North Wales, UK, and graduated with a First Class BA in Fine Art from The University of Leeds in 2021. After facing challenges as a new artist in the "real world," I turned to social media to share my work and connect with other creatives. Alongside this, I began teaching workshops, introducing people to printing techniques and helping them unlock their creativity.
My professional journey includes working as an art and design technician at a college, where I helped students bring their ideas to life. Teaching and supporting others in their creative exploration has always been a fulfilling part of my career. Over the years, Iāve developed my unique style of light-reactive art, which has resonated with audiences worldwide.
After five years of experimentation and mastering this technique, Iām excited to share it through my course. The method, inspired by the "Samoiloff Effect," animates paintings in a way thatās never been done before. My goal is to provide others with the tools and knowledge to create their own light-reactive art, ensuring this innovative approach continues to inspire and evolve.
