Hi! I'm Holly,
the artist behind Studio ULNA! I’m known for making playful ceramics, both functional and decorative, that transform my illustrated characters into 3D forms full of charm. I also love cats, and include them in many of my pieces.
I love drawing about as much as I love playing with clay, so it’s important to me that my ceramic work marries these two together. A strong focus on translating my bold illustration style into clay, whether that be through surface decoration, shape language or forming 3D elements.
Making for me is deeply therapeutic, and there is much delight in seeing the silly little things that come from my two hands (and brain). My goal is for my art to spark joy in others, and to add a little more whimsy to the world.
I want to extend my creative practice to you, sharing my approach to creating clay pieces with character and tips on how to develop your 3D style. By the end of this course you’ll have created your very own functional character piece, and will have the foundational skills to further explore your personal style in ceramics.
