Hi, I’m Doriana,
a Spanish teacher, translator and interpreter with over 15 years of experience in language education and communication.
My relationship with Spanish started in 1999 and has taken me from Spain to Latin America, including a year living and working in Cuba. I hold a degree in Translation from the University of Turin and have worked with students, professionals, schools and companies, both in person and online.
My teaching approach is based on cognitive grammar: rather than simply memorizing rules, I help learners understand the logic behind the language and use that understanding to communicate more naturally and confidently. I also place a strong emphasis on the different varieties of Spanish spoken around the world, helping students understand both the language and the cultural context in which it is used.
I also collaborate with Rizzoli Education, one of Italy’s leading educational publishers, creating content and contributing to projects focused on Spanish language and intercultural learning.
Through VivaDori, my personal project, I create Spanish learning content and courses for people who want to use Spanish confidently in real-life situations, whether they are travelling, studying, working or simply curious about the Spanish-speaking world.
