Hi, I'm TamTrac!

I’m a fine artist based in Washington, United States, but my love for art began long before I came here. I grew up in Vietnam, where my sister was my first inspiration. She was an incredible artist, and watching her create made me want to draw too. In second grade, an art teacher noticed my potential and invited me to join her team of young artists. That’s when I first picked up watercolors, and I instantly fell in love with how soft and expressive they could be.

But life wasn’t always about art. In high school, my dream of becoming an artist faded, and I ended up studying computer engineering for nearly three years. It wasn’t until then that I realized how much I missed creating. When I transferred to university, I barely had time to draw, and that emptiness made me see how important art was to me. It wasn’t just a hobby — it was a part of who I am. I decided to follow my heart, switched my focus back to art, and graduated with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Visual Art from the University of Washington in 2021.

Since then, I’ve explored many styles of art but found myself drawn to surrealism, a space where imagination and reality meet. My work often features surreal female figures and portraits, blending vibrant landscapes with dreamlike elements. Recently, I had my first solo art show in Pioneer Square, Seattle, which was a meaningful milestone. While I’ve done a few shows here and there, for me, art has always been about connection — meeting people who love and appreciate art, hearing their stories, and building a community around creativity.
