Hi,

Mari Costa is a storyteller and character designer hailing from Brazil and currently based in Melbourne, Australia. She specialises in whimsical, appealing designs best suited for comics and animation. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Character Animation from The Animation Workshop and is the author and illustrator of graphic novels such as Belle of the Ball, Life of Melody and upcoming titles The Demon of Beausoleil and Forgive-Me-Not.

Her aim with this course is to take you through the process of designing an original character from start to finish, hopefully giving you some ideas and knowledge to help with your own journey along the way!
